Social Media Break and Home Vacation

I was sitting and doing my morning meditation in bed today, when I got this "message".

I've been a little tired these last couple of days, but I've also felt a little uninspired for my posts on Instagram and Facebook.

So, today, when I woke up, I sat up in bed, started the Insight Timer app in my phone, where I often use guided meditations and affirmations, but I also have a timer with chosen sound and bells in it, which was the one I needed and chose today.

Before I pushed start, I wanted to go deep and feel what my real need was. It came to me so clear, I need time off. I need a little digital cleanse. And yes, I understand how you may wonder how I can be posting here on the blog then, but I don't mean a break from everything, well at least not for the moment. Blogging is more like journaling to me.

The thing is, I really enjoy socializing, talking and engaging online with other amazing women. But it's also so easy to get caught up scrolling reels etc and then it's quite time and energy consuming.

I want some quality me time. Something I've learnt to make a priority since my burnout. Are you good at making time for your "me time"?

I think this can be a challenge for many women, especially moms with younger children, don't you?

So, for my time off, I'm going to spend a little extra time in nature, on my home workouts, baking (today I made a batch of chocolate chip cookies yum and yes they were vegan ofc, and this recipe is crazy good. My boys loves them too), cooking, resting, meditating, journaling, reading. All these feel good creative activities that I love to do, and that also awakens the creative blood in me🥰 It may sound a lot, but I'll do what I want and when I want, just go with the feminine flow.

Is there any of these activities you like doing? Let me know in the comments.

Now, it's time for an evening walk. Take care, love, and don't forget to make you a priority.

Much Love,

Terese
