Guess What's Making Me Giggle..

Writer's picture: Terese SacramentoTerese Sacramento

Last week I went to the flower shop with mama and bought some flowers and soil to the two empty pots on my balcony.

It ended up with a total makeover, cutting down a small, but tall strong tree, some bushes and ivy. We cut the grass, and cleaned the garden tiles. Yes, the two pots were also filled with the soil and the flowers planted.

My mama is such a wonderful woman. She's 73 years old and yet she's so strong, and that stubborned characteristic is from her. I've heared so many times stubborness being associated with something bad. It wasn't until I met the man I'm in a relationship with today, that I realized it isn't. Or it doesn't have to. Yes there are certain times when it's just annoying, when you know you're wrong and keep going. But in some cases, quite many I'd say, it can be a strenght. A strenght that make you keep going, keep showing up for you, keep working towards and making your dreams come true.

Here I'm sitting and enjoying my freshly cleaned balcony, with the view over the much updated garden, that probably wouldn't have happened unless my mama saw my hesitation of doing it all by myself this day (procrastination HELLO) and asked if I wanted her help, whereas when I answered "Only if you have the energy" it wasn't a question anymore, she parked the car and we got started.

I have one of the flowers down to the left of the chair. I've been reading, sitting in different places to enjoy the sunshine on my face. Now my lovely man is texting me to check upon me, and I'm sending him a picture after this one you see here. But this look is for him, thinking of him, while being so satisified from the garden work of my mama and me, and last but not least, after a couple of days off socials, devoted to me and going with the flow.

Feeling good and having the right people around me, makes me giggle.

Knowing that I made this happen by the choices I made, the action I took, makes me giggle and feeling absolutely grateful towards the strenght and belief in myself that my mama planted in me.

Life's good.

Remember, you are the creator of your life.

Much Love,
